Ramsbottom R&B Festival to return!

We are very pleased to announce that the Ramsbottom Rhythm and Blues Festival will return on Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 September.

The festival will being top British and international blues musicians to play at Ramsbottom Cricket Club, who are supporting the outdoor music festival as both a venue and with financial backing alongside Manchester Airport, The Met and Bury Council's Local Area Partnership for Ramsbottom.

The event is being promoted by Bury Metropolitan Arts Association, the independent charity which runs The Met in Bury. David Agnew, Director of The Met comments, "We are thrilled that the festival has the green light again. Backing from the council and community in Ramsbottom has enabled us to once again make the town a destination for music fans from throughout the northwest. The programme is shaping up to be world class, with something for everyone throughout the day and early evening."

The R&B Festival returns after a four year absence, last taking place in 2005 when the event attracted over 3,000 visitors to the area.

Organiser BMAA is a registered charity that recently celebrated its thirtieth year. The charity works with the community in Bury delivering workshops and events, encouraging sustainability, respect, excellence, quality and accessibility in everything it promotes. It is recognised nationally for its quality programming of events at The Met and annual festivals, one of which is the R&B Festival.

A full line-up will be announced and tickets will go on sale from Monday 22 June on The Met's web site at themet.biz.
